MEDIEVAL LORE AND THE MODERN CONSUMER

  Genre has been at the center of the entertainment ziegest for the past few decades. Fantastical stories of Wizards, dragons, and laser swords rule the entertainment world. This is not a new phenomenon however. Dating back to our ancient egypt, greece, rome, and the medieval eras stories and legends have been an essential part of our society and our entertainment. We see that mirrored in such hits as Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and even Starwars. These modern myths, and legends would not exist without the adventures of King Arthur, Jason and argonauts, and Seth and other egptian folk legends.  For this blog I've chosen three of my favorite examples of medieval influnces in current intellectual properties. Have I ignored some? Absolutely, but there are thousands of examples you can search out for yourself.
